HOW TO GET THERE...
One of the many main entrances to the Taman Negara is
through the town of Jerantut in the state of Pahang.
From there, two options is available to reach Taman
Negara, either by river (boat) or by land (bus). There
is a boat ride service that leaves from the Kuala Tembeling
jetty near Jerantut. You can take a taxi ride from the
Jerantut town directly to Kuala Tembeling. Boat leaves
at 9.00 AM and 1.30 PM and a one way fare is only RM50.00
per person. The memorable journey by boat along the
Sungai Pahang (the biggest in the country) will take
about 3 hours from Kuala Tembeling to reach Taman Negara.
The other cheapest way is by using the local bus service
operated by Latif Sdn. Bhd. The blue coloured bus runs
on a schedule of four trips per days at the fare of
RM6.00 per person. Journey by bus take about 1 1/2 hours
to Kuala Tahan, passing by through the scenic local
village, jungle and palm oil plantations along the way.
